Amazon.com Review
So many hyperbolic statements have been made about this novel--from Don DeLillo calling it a "slasher classic," to The Village Voice calling it a "mescaline Slurpee," to The New Yorker comparing it to Orson Welles's "deliciously sleazy" Touch of Evil--that it can be hard to sort out the truth from the hype. The bottom line is that this is a postmodern road novel about mass media, with multiple allusions to horror movies. As the rave review in the premiere horror critique rag, Necrofile, puts it, Going Native is about the "round-the-clock bombardment of inanity and violence that has so thoroughly invaded mundane existence as to render it cartoon-like." If you care about how horror imagery affects modern culture, and you want to have a great time thinking about it, then read this book.
Product Description
This extraordinary work that was met with both  critical and popular acclaim in hardcover reads like  a frightening, resonant nineties version of Jack  Kerouac's On The Road. Author  Stephen Wright transports readers from the  claustrophobia of the suburbs to the freedom of the open  road and the pursuit of the American dream--or  nightmare--in this remarkable novel that reveals the  darkest side of our civilized society. It begins  with the story of Wylie Jones, a nice man who walks  out of a backyard barbecue and embarks on a  postmodern adventure of disturbing proportions. Stealing  his neighbor's Ford Galaxy 500, he traverses a  country filled with unexpected turmoil--where  crackheads lurk in the suburbs, a lesbian couple run a  Las Vegas wedding chapel, and a fabulous L.A. dinner  party is blown to bits. By turns scathing and  hilarious, outrageous and on-target Going  Native is the story of one man's odyssey  into the heart of darkness at the center of  contemporary American life.

Product Description
Lurking in Pennsylvania collects three decades of William P. Robertson's best horror stories and poems, many of which appeared in magazines worldwide. Bill specializes in understated Gothic terror in the tradition of Edgar Allan Poe and H.P. Lovecraft. He draws his inspiration from McKean County legends, his Grandma B's Swedish folktales, and traumatic personal experiences.  He also delves into dark humor and lends a fresh perspective to such classic beings as the werewolf and the troll. Bill's best work chills rather than sickens. Sometimes what is left unsaid is the most terrifying of all. . .

Product Description
The most brutal serial killer the FBI has ever encountered is murdering descendents of a particular Cherokee tribe. As the number of bizarre killings spread across the Southern United States, authorities are clueless. Their tribal search leads them to Steven Waters, and his cousin, Morgan Roberts. Morgan, recently discharged from the Army under questionable circumstances, is reluctantly drawn into the situation. He is forced to confront the very things he most fears; his past, his heritage and returning to his mountain home. The last great tribal shaman tells Morgan the killer is an inhuman demon, a Ravenmocker, one of the most horrible beings from ancient Cherokee legend. Once, perhaps still, these powerful beings roamed the high mountain peaks and valleys of the Appalachians, preying on the people who could do little to stop them. Morgans infirm hold on modern logic and science makes it difficult for him to accept such ideas. He is forced to choose between what he knows to be real in his mind and what his heritage suggests could be real in his heart. Its left to Morgan and Steven to stop the killings before they become victims themselves.

Product Description
A terrible injustice took place in Salem Village 300 years ago. It’s about to start all over again. When an egocentric college professor gets permission to re-enact the infamous witchcraft trials of 1692 for the entertainment of visitors to historic Salem Village, a dramatic history lesson becomes a modern nightmare. Innocent people are accused of serving Satan and sentenced to all-too-real executions. Driven to desperation, a brave band of rebels takes a stand against the murderous professor. Aided by a 300-year-old spirit, the rebels struggle to prevent the horrific repetition of the village’s sinister past. Reminiscent of the works of Stephen King and John Saul, Salem’s Pact blends elements of the Gothic romance and historical tragedy into a terrifying witch’s brew.

Product Description
To escape the tensions of his past, ex-newspaperman Roger Newton retreats to Vermont's fabled Northeast Kingdom, the wildest, most remote portion of the state. But there he discovers a terrifying secret that turns his life upside-down.

Newton's adventure begins when Claude Lavigne, a power company employee, sees something monumentally strange in the forests of "the gore" -- a tiny swatch of unclaimed land created by a surveyor's mistake. The uncanny sight so upsets him, so rattles his sense of what's real, that it leads to his suicide.

Lavigne's son, his best friend, and an ancient black man risk an expedition into the gore to discover what Mr. Lavigne saw. In his attempt to stop them, Newton upsets a centuries- old balance that threatens to loose a long-buried nightmare upon the people of Vermont.
